help needed

iv just got a new p1 airbox with pipercross air filter in it and ever since then the car boggs down when you drive normaly its fine then if you accelerate slowly its picks up and is all good its not untill you just plant it where it just boggs down and refusese to go any where fast iv changed the plugs as i thought it was that but still no joy the other day i went to overtake a car and the eml came on and flashed several times as it was doing the bogging thing then went off i have a feeling it may be a lambda and am looking in to getting one just wanted to see if it was a wast of time as there is something else up with it much love carl ps its a p2 clio with a p1 airbox piper filter and miltec cat back

Sounds like same problem I had recently. Changing the pre-cat Lambda sorted it for me. Worth plugging it into a decent diagnostics (RS Tuner for example) as this will likely point you in the right direction.

i think its going to be that anyway im about to put a decat on it so ill just get some for when that gets fitted

iv managed to fix this after plugging it in to a fault reader it came up with iat curcuit malf but that was because id unplugged the wire at some point then i put a new lambda on with my decat but still the same but worse i managed to get my mrs old plug leads and swapped them over in instaly fixed i was gutted it was only this but o well getting some jucy blue ones now
