You can change the filter without draining the oil. There will be some slight spillage but not a great deal. You might as well do the oil again as well though - at least you know its been done right then.
not much matey - id just put a few rags under the old oil filter and have the new one ready to bang on as soon as you have taken the old one off. Put a few on the floor as well are an old tub or something. Remember to use a genuine oil filter 8200033408 - £6.20 from renault though !!
