Help On Tyres Please

172 Tyres are 16/45/195 are they not? I cant remember.

After a few days of trying to decide which tryes i want to get im going to stick with the standard Continental Sport Contact.

Whats the difference between the 80v and the 84v XL Continetal sports? Apart from £7 a tyre.

i would move to 182 spec tyres. 205/45/16 Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2's.
Best tyre for clio's.

i've tried 7 different tyres over 2 cars! PE2's now...204-45-16 as above.

might invalidate you insurance if you fit 205 tyres though ??

see what they say if you tell them your gonna fit 205 tyres on the original rims

195s are fine, personally I'd go for Goodyear F1s.

Its to do with the weight the tyre can carry, either will do. IMO

I have 16/45/195's with Conti Sport Contacts on my car and can't find a bad word to say about them. I had Michelins on my other Clio and didn't like them anywhere near as much. It's all a matter of preference I think. I stick with what I know I get on with.

LOL, seriously, you what?

Renault also put dodgy latches on as standard, doesn't mean they are good.

The contisports are a pretty decent tyre though.

I put two upfront on mine m8, when the original Exaltos were getting borderline legal. Not bad after 24k though....

To be honest, they aren't as good as the Exaltos. They seem a lot more 'scrabbly' and not as good as Exaltos in surface contact.

In the wet, they seem fine though and easily a match for the Michelins. Given the opportinuty again though, I would have waited and paid the extra for another pair of Exaltos.

Contisports were poor imo. I put PE2's on recently and it transformed the car. May go for 205 next time instead of the 195 though.

Email them, they will refund it, they did for me a while back.
