Help Please - Alpine CDA - 9855R and Ipod connection

Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen

Need some help.

Wanting to buy a Alpine CDA - 9855R and addition Ipod connector, KCA - 420i

Just wondering is this a straight swap for my original Renault head unit or do I require any addition cables???

Hmm...Nice but I want the glidetouch feature on the 9855r

You'll need the steering control adaptor if you want the remote stalk to continue working, I believe the new version also keeps the HU display.

As above, it will work fine without the adapters though if you don't want to buy the steering controls.

So to install the new head unit I dont need any other wires, I just use the wires hooked up to the original renault cd player

I can wait for the steering wheel controls to be honest.

So original connections should work with a alpine head unit???
