help ....advice ... gear porblems...

cut a long story short its a p reg rsi ..... went to stick it in reverse went to move and its goni orward instead of backwards.... put it in neutrel it found another gear ..... no other movement in the gearbox .... any suggestion on wahts wrong and howi can put it into neutral to roll it round the corner

Poss gear linkage rod, go under teh car where the rod goes into teh gearbox and just put it in by hand.

Sounds like linkages are gone. My mates car would be in 4th when he went into 1st, 3rd when he went into 5th etc and that was his problem.

To get into neutral just spend time trying to force it out of gear, have a good wiggle about you should find it
