help please

hi,

at present i have my car in at my lockal renault dealer gettting a few things done under wnty,
and due to my tyres being a littlwe low they have replaced them for free from brand new conti sports, woo since i only got new back ones 2 months ago thets the whole lot done now :-D

anyway help needed it was in for a few reasons one was a small peice of wood had been jamed in the rear boot lock the bit the boot closes onto they told me it is a floating lock and should move and the previous owner has put the wood there to stop it moving.. is this true i have a rs 172 cup 2003, anyone else boot lock move about ? or are they trying to pull my pants down again....

The lock should move about a bit.

People do stick things in there not realising they should move.

mine moves too. i thought it was broke! lol.

floating lock does cause a bit of noise/vibration but rather it be working than not.

My rear boot lock moves a bit , but it squeaks! it does my head in , i have to keep on tightining it up!
