Ok so im in the process of bringing my ph2 172 back to life after it had been horribley abusedby previous owner, ok so I need help with dogbone mount, there is a black metal bar that goes I the direction of the rad, how is it held to thegearbox?? Is there a mounting?
The bigbolt that goes through is there suposed to be a captive nut or such? Help
The cv joints are dead top mounts upside down just want to get her back to her former glory pics or discussion would be much appreciated

Sorry im posting on my phone so the English goes down the pan,
That pic helps alot BUT the BLACK bar where does it attach on the gearbox I think I am missing something
And the main bolt which goes UP through the mount gearbox end how does it fasten up is there a nut on the end
?

They all screw into the gearbox. 2 that screw into the bell housing that secure the bracket "black bar" and then one bolt that goes upwards through the bracket and dog bone which is also bolted into the box, no captive nuts or nuts of any kind. There is then a bolt that attaches it to the subframe which can be seen in pic.

Ahh ok cheers matey I will get a picture of mine today it seems different something fishy here theres no threaded hole for the bolt going up through the dogbone, its just a metal bracket bolted to the gearbox like I say I shall get a picture,
Is it possible for a different gearbox to have been fitted?
