help removing starter motor- valver

Hi, how the hell do i get the starter motor off my valver!! I can barely see the dam thing! Do i need to get underneath and remove the down pipe heat shielf then the down pipe itself too? Looks crazy! Cheers dudes, sam

remove the starter heatshield, then the bracketory for it, then undo the 3 bolts on the starter, undo the wiring, the out between the manifold and the head out the passenger side. same to get it back in, it can be a b*****d, sometimes it'll fly back in! i was running a 172 starter, and the difference was amazing, so easy to fit!

Don't forget to disconnect your battery, or you get sparks lol

There are loads that fit, although on some they can be a b*****d to get in/out think i'm running a laguna one on mine at the mo

yea its a direct fit.

oh, actuallt, all you havr to do is grind down the plastic bit inbetween the terminals on the solenoid. thats it!
