help required but on a laguna

when i turn the lights on, either main or dipped, the dash display and clock lights go off so its pitch black inside the cab. any ideas? Prob a short somewhere i guess? anyone know what it may be or had the same problem? Cheers

Are you sure you just haven't turned the dimmer control right down.

iirc the Laguna instruments are illuminated all the time the Ign is on, then controlled by a dimmer knob when the lights are on.
