Need help getting springs on...had prolines and wanted to fit. Did rears fine, bit have spent 4 hours trying to get the b*****d spring (original) back on so now have an undriveable car. Pissed off doesnt describe it.

Anyone have a better spring compressor than I have? Anyone able to come to Telford and help me?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'd have helped, but in Dorset, don't need spring compressors?

If I was closer mate, you shouldn't need to compress the spring surely, I didn't on mine.

Cheers Tony :)

Typical Scott...enjoying it down there?

have you done a search?

Pulled the damper all the way out?

You dont need compressors to fit them, you're doing something wrong

Pulled damper out? Took top mount off...undid bolts and took spring off...then tried putting Proline spring and failed miserably....so tried putting original one back on. May well be damper on then. But has REALLY pissed me off today.

Yeah tis mint down here!

You might need a 3rd hand to hold the damper up while screwing the bolt on the top.

Whats a bumpstop? Should it already be on the car...or do I need to purchase one? ;)
