help required ? wheel size ?

hi people ,im looking at getting some new wheels on my 172 and dunno what to get ,i got some i like but there is the problem about size .... been told if i go up to 17's the car wont handel the same and will handel badly and be a bit unstable is this true , or can i go to 17 with out a problem cus some of the ones i likedont come in 16 only 17 can any one help and i give what i looking at to see what people think
