Help Stange Windows 7 issue?

as of today when ever i click on a link my laptop wont open a new window to display that web page.

reset the computer a few times but its made no difference. i can open as many windows as i like its just when i click on a link nothing happens.

even if i do a right mouse on the link and click open in new window i get nothing.

im running windows 7 64b and the latest internet explorer, how do i go about solving this one?

First thing to try is dumping IE.

another small update if i click a link in an outlook email the page will open

IE 64bit verson is shite. tryin using IE 32bit. or a completely different web browser

ive never had a problem with IE always worked fine until today. rather than suggestions of getting rid of IE anyone know how to solve the actual problem?

IE is utter pony. If it works in chrome or safari, you know where the problem lies...

chrome is infinitely better, its quicker, looks better and you can import all your stuff from IE, you're just making life harder for yourself by using IE
