Help understanding car audio

I need some help in understanding car audio. Hopefully in the next week or so I will be buying my first car, which will be a 03 Clio 1.2. I want to change the head unit and speakers in the front and back, and to have a sub in to boot with a amplifier. The problem is I really don't understand it all and when I think I do something new and confusing comes along. I don't even know what sizes speakers I need all I know I that I want better sound in my car that requires as little re-wireing as possible. I also dont want to spend to much since it's only my first car. £200 max. Any information would be great and any products that you can recommend would be looked at

Well with £200 you will be able to get a resonable system If your okay with getting some second hand stuff? Best bet is to spend most of it on a good headunit as this will make the biggest difference. Would recommend upgrading front door speakers and maybe a 10 inch sub in the boot as putting the wiring kit in is fairly simple for the amplifier.
You will probably even find you won't need to upgrade the rear speakers as your in the front not really hearing them.

Yes I wouldn't mind second hand. That sounds good too not having to upgrade the rear speakers that saves some money
