HELP! warning light & no power at all.

the electrical warning light (rectangle with zig-zag lines) came on ... and car has gone into home-safe mode.

i've got no power at all... won't give me any power over 2000rpm.

problem is... i'm stranded. have drove 3 hours away from home! i don't have any aa cover, and about 40quid to my name.

what is this that's gone? not the tdc sensor or something is it? i hope whatevet it is... it's something i can buy at halfords and fit it myself. otherwis i don't know how the hell i'll get home.

anyone got any ideas of what this is and how i can fix it free lol.

Get out, lock it up. Then unlock it, get in and see if it starts and runs ok.

that done it. left it half hour.
what the hell was that then? i didn't want to start it again in case it was something serious.

My old Cup did it once. The car goes into like a limp home mode. I suggest a trip to your local renault dealership.

I found that getting out, locking, leavng for a bit, unlocking and driving off solved most electrical probs. I guess it resets the immobiliser etc.

Get home now.

Could be any number of problems you need Renault to plug in and see the problem. must be somehting relitivly serious. Unlikly to be TDC as thats startup problems and idle problems not like this.

Is your car under warently if so then nope and they shough should fix it if not then yet they will charge its how they make profit.
