Help! Wipers are going in reverse!?

Hi

Sorry if my grammar is rubbish, posting off my phone.

Just fitted a new wiper mechanism, hooked up the motor and screwed into place. Bolted the wipers on and gave them a go. The drivers side wiper just goes down and the gets stuck. It goes up across the windscreen a few inches then backs up on itself and then sits on the plastic tray below the windscreen and refuses to budge!!!

Any ideas as to why it's being crazy?

was the motor set in the position where the wipers would be up when you bolted them on?

Ha I have no idea dude. That might be what it is. What position should it be in?

un bolt the motor and wiper arms but leave the electrical plug plugged in and turn them on then off and they will go back to their lower resting position. then bolt back on if the problem still persists one of the arms is bolted up wrong
