Help with alternator wiring?

Got this from ebay just wondering if the blue/yellow wires are in the right place and where the big black wire is meant to be coming from?

black is earth but if u already have one u wont need it red is live and the other one is charge light it should b marked up on alternator anyway

Ok mate haven't got a black cable in the engine bay? Doesn't it earth through the body anyway?

Also I've just fitted a new voltage regulator to the back, so the yellow and blue cables should both be going to the same side?

yeah thats what i mean if it alredy has a earth on the chassis shouldnt matter . not sure on the reg wires just check ur old one if thats the same
