Help with ARB procedure

Hi, i am new to the forum and was hoping i may get some from here,i have a clio mk2 04 and i am going to upgrade the suspension,i have a good idea on how to replace shocks and springs however i have decided to replace the lower suspension arm as well and maybe the ARB droplinks , in my manual it states i have to remove the exhaust front downpipe in order to procede with removing the anti roll bar link from the lower suspension arm , is this necesarry and could any one please give me any tipos or what order i can do the job.Thanks
