Help with boot lock

Need some help with getting the boot lock off (the bit with the button and diamond). I've removed the trim and can see three nuts holding it on, now will taking the three nuts off and removing it affect the alarm/central locking?

shouldnt do, only thing that would affect locking/unlocking would be if you pulled the bar backwards n forwards.

How does the actual locking mech come off the the handle on the out side or is it all one bit?

i aint got one so i dunno what it looks like.

but on boot locks theres generally 2 bars, one for the catch and one for the lock/central locking. you have to unclip the clip at the end of the bar, then spin the clip to allow the bar to pop out of the hole, same with the lock bar. these have to be undone or you wont get the lock/catch out.
