Help with Brakes

Hey, recently my brakes have made a strange rumbling sound and i can feel the pedal vibrating. I had a look at the disks and they have some surface rust, is this the problem? or is it the ABS cause it feels like im skidding?

sounds like the abs was cutting in.

were u on a wet/gravel/muddy surface?
were they ok after?

Check the abs rings on the dirveshafts most likly one is broken or cracked.

Castlated ring at the back of the disk. Here's a photo, I think Renault make them out of tin which they have been soaking in sea water since the war, hence the problem is a common one.

The rings can be replaced, failng that it's a new drive shaft. Ring shouldn't move on it own ie without the drive shaft turning.
