help with electric wing mirrors

mine simply dont work. All wiring is connected inside the actual mirror and the connection lead at the back of the mirror where it sticks through to the car is connected. What else could it be, im not really an electrical whizz but i know some of you are so any ideas please;

Also if i have to take off the door cards how easy are they to replace? is the bonding stuff still sticky or would i need to buy some more?

Obviously check the fuse, the bonding stuff on the door cards are reusable, well when i took my door cards of majority of the sealant/bonding stayed on the door. Do the mirrors still heat up with the rear window heater? You will have to check if you have power going to them!
