I picked up my 172 on saturday from the dealer. I noticed halfway home, that the temperature display wasn't working, so when I got home, I had a look at the mirror, and there is no nipple under the mirror.
When I went to look at it, and test drive it, the mirror was wobbly, so they said they'd put a new mount on it, and by the looks of it, they've replaced the whole mirror, with a pattern part, which is fine, but no temp sensor!
It was there and working when I test drove it, as it was a cold day and I remember it flashing at me.
I phoned the dealer on sat when I got home, and he said he didn't know much about it, he'd need to see the car (40 mile trip lol), what should I do. I don't mind going there to have them fit a new one I suppose, but it's not a renault dealer, just a car dealer.
Am I right in wanting it to work? It comes standard so surely it should be there. I have seen the sensors on ebay for a tenner, but I cannot get the cap off the mirror to save my life. I was trying for 20 mins and gave up. It pops off halfway, but then wont go any further, and don't want to snap it.
