Help with PS3 internet connection

I'm trying to set up the wireless connection on my PS3 but it can't find the network.

Any suggestions?

u need a wep code and things.

Already entered all of those.

when i do it i just choose the scan option and it brings up the wireless networks in range, then choose the option to automatically configure it.

I have noticed though that the wireless is no a great signal and even though my laptop could see it my ps3 couldn't so i had to move it closer as it was over the other side of the house.

Maybe it needs to be moved closer if its far away?

Be sure your network is broadcasting your SSID.
