Please somebody help, ive got a 172 exclusive and i love it to bits, BUT it idle like a pig when warm. its had a new temp sensor no code showing on clip. Its got a k-tec stealth cat back and a pipercross filter no other mods!!
It fast idles from cold when warm its like its cammed up. Any ideas?:S

what he says. how old are the plugs,leads etc. Also what fuel you using?

where is the idle valve situated? i thought it had a stepper motor set up rather than a valve??
I use optimax fuel. plug leads are original. Has any one had fuel pump problems? i fitted a fuel filter and it missed its tits off for 10 seconds a good old rev restored order.

its the thingy next to the TB with "VDO" written on it

you cant clean that thou. it they usually fall apart when you take them out.
