clio 172 (02 reg) 40k on clock. Starts ok in the morning if you then do about 5 miles or more then stop for about 1/2 hour it is a pig to start just turning over and not fireing at all (well it sounds not to be ) then it fires and runs ok had a lap top with obd on it that did not find anything. any one got any ideas ?

may be heavily over fuellingmate or the spark plugs may be mis firing get is checked out mate

Thanks dont think its fuel as there is no smell of fuel at the exhaust when it starts plugs could be but reno say change them at 72k its only done 40k will they go off so soon

Are the plugs easy to get at looks like you have to remove a lot of stuff to get at them

Check the TDC sensor as that more likly the problem.

Plugs arn't that difficult to get at remove the manifold intake and there under there.

What Edde said, its at the top of the gearbox were it meets the engine.
