HELP !!!!!

just drivin home from work. n all of a sudden i heard this banging under my car like id hit sumet n it was draggin on the bumper. afta about 5 seconds it went. but now i just tried puttin it into reverse n it wont go in.
any1 got any ideas?

u have gotta be jokin me. how much is a new gearbox?

does it go itnto all the other gears fine?

if not it could be your clutch/ selector fork, but if it just wont go into reverse it maybe the gate (dunno the propper name) or youve droped a cog = new box

it still drives in the other gears but it wont go in reverse at all

just found out that wen i try n put it in2 reverse. the lights do come on but it wont go in any further.

will it go in with out the engine running? try that and start the engine and see what happens?

just tried n it still wont go in wen the engine aint runnin. any ideas?

very strange i would have said some sort of box problem. its not external does the collor on the gear stick move ok?
if so i would have said the selector fork in the box.

yeah it all still works ok n can drive it. just cant reverse.

i think reverse may have its own selector due to making the box spin backwards.
