Thought id start a thread on my progress from getting the car in early december always wanted my own little progress thread haha! the car started off like this (2 days of owning) -
since having the car its had its ups and downs but im getting there! bought the car with a few problems, needed a full service, the belts were all whining, paintwork needs a refurb on the back quarter panels and the front wings, the boot looks like its never had any treatment to it in regards to waxing and general care.. feels rusty/rough if you get me lol?
anyways, always been wanting to ski, and a few friends do it as a sport/hobby quite often and the chance came round to go up to cumbria and ski on a hill called ''yadd moss'' if anyones been? its brilliant, especially for england. i trusted the car to get 4 of us up there, 4 sets of skis, 4 boots, and lots of food she ran brialliantly all the way there, even in the snow as we hit the mountains! had to give an old 350z a push up the hill but apart from that it was superb! untill someone smashed into my front passenger side, reversing... bit pee'd off to say the least but there was no damage at all except from a few broken pins on the headlight which needs replacing anyway! so instead of insurance claims i just got £120 off the guy and said done deal.
Then it was time for the brakes to be changed, off they go and the new ones on with a nice crack in my old disk! did the back ones first with money being low and they were more serious as everything 'mechanically' was going right my brake pad decides to fall out of the caliper (which was unknown to me for a few days) so as i was breaking there was a 'chshtttt' grinding noise! which i thought was them bedding in (doh!) anyways.. new disk was 3 days old, big grooves in it now. lol, so off comes the disk and another one on live n learn. everythings okay with the brakes now!
after the brakes and what not had been done, i started to do some 'visual' modding to the car, not messing around with the engine as of yet but ive always loved the look of turinis, even though yes, they are popular.. so here goes the turinis.
then came along a meet in the northwest where we met up in krispy kreme (trafford park) and had a ride to castlefield in manchester to take some pictures! not been to many tbh, but theres always comments on cliosport as of how good they are, and they are, northbest
seen as though my car was 'standard' apart from turinis, i was still looking at various colour schemes, things that i could do to the car that would make it stand out, look good! so i set about a carbon theme, yes its been done .. but i like it, especially when the wheel collour choice i want is anthracite/black and it goes well with the carbon fibre..
the pictures arent great, there off my phone so bear with me. - my friend does photography, and asked if we could take a trip to manchester avionics (viewing centre thing) where you can watch the planes land and take off, its interesting tbh, people there with there radios listening to the planes lol was a tad too cold though, anyway got some shots of the car.
this is all up to now, im going to keep updating accordingly and sorry for the big read its not the best thread but it shows you the things that ive been up too i hope you like..
next on the list is:
carbon bullets
carbon splitter
lowered
new exhaust (maybe)
cup spoiler
