Hi all just purchased a w reg phase 1 172 with 41000 miles, doing the cambelt aux belt in a couple of weeks :clown:, cant wait to get involved!!

Yep i'm a newbie! Although a good friend of mine had a mint valver and a williams that gave me the bug a few years ago. I've had a few hot hatches, but so far the 172 seems to offer me everything i want and more. just need to get the cambelt so i can drive it properly!

Will do once i get it sorted. It's totally standard, bar a janspeed exhaust. Needs new plates, and steering wheel is tatty. I'm loving it.
