Car  Clio 182 FF, 205 XS
Just bought a 182 after scouting for ages. I had a 205 before and my 1.6 clio wasn't doing it for me, hopefully this should do the trick.

Needs the cambelt doing, but other than that it's a blank canvas, even the exhaust is factory, which surprised me.

I hope you got a bit off the price for the belts not being done? I had a quick chat with the guy selling it and *almost* went up to have a look. But i thought that with my luck, the belts would go on my drive home! Nice buy though. Its a lovely little car, that one.

One would suspect not, however it's nice to see them commanding decent cash in all honesty. Although with 6x the mileage on it mine may be slightly less valuable.... Lol

... because people are daft and would rather buy something with aged, sagging original bits, instead of buying something that's had everything replaced and is fresh as a daisy underneath / in the engine bay  lol

Yeah mines not exactly a replaced everything nut and bolt resto, lol, just a well maintained high miler. But tbh value of it doesn't really concern me anymore, I paid little for it in the grand scale of things many years ago so had more than my money's and enjoyments worth out of it!

But every time I think about replacing it, I feel like I'm cheating on it, lol

That is exactly how I feel, then I get cold feet every time and convince myself that I dont need a different car!

Apologies for the ninja! Yes, got money off for the belts, will get them done soon.

Unfortunately for insurance based reasons, I needed as close to stock one as possible, this isn't hiding in a garage though, I fully intend to drive it.

Lovely 182 pal. That and liquid yellow are the best colours IMO.

I picked one up yesterday as well. Have you taken yours on it’s maiden voyage yet?

Gotta wait for my NCB to come through before I can insure it unfortunately :(
