Welcome to the forum.I live around 12 miles from Thurso.I also had many problems with my Clio when I got it, but all now solved. My first track day this year, Cadwell in April.Very few Renaults up this way.
Cheers, I'm near Tain.
Welcome aboard - what types of electrical issues have you been having?
Although such problems can occur through bad luck - usually I'd be suspicious that previous owners have been 'tinkering' with stuff that they don't fully understand.
My Clio has only spat its dummy out with failing batteries since having from new - in terms of electrical problems. My other previous car was a nightmare - couldn't hold a charge for more than three days without running flat - and a spaghetti of chopped ends and taped up points under the bonnet. If I'd committed myself to long-term ownership of that car - I think I would have factored in a new wiring loom..... it was that bad.
Thanks, I think the main problem is that the previous owner (a friend of a friend) worked offshore and for long periods the car simply wasn't used. It's super original and not messed about with, which is why I bought it, why I'm persisting with it. The issue is the ESP+SERV lights lighting up when the steering is moved. It's had a load of cash thrown at it by the previous owner as well, and one of these items looks like a SAS. The SAS is showing -8000 deg at the moment, so I think it needs recalibrated. I bought a iCarsoft RT II as it says it will recalibrate SAS,but this function doesn't work on my car(!) I think I'll need to source CLIP, but finding anyone local with it is proving tough, bar the dealer (£££). I've already sent the car to a local garage for repair, but they couldn't sort it (but still charged!).
Welcome?
Get the car sorted and bring it

Thanks - I would if i could!
You've had it 4 years and driven it once? Wow you must have the patience of a Saint!
Haha yeh I know - it's just been moved about for 4 years, out of sight out of mind. Determined to sort it this year. The journey home left an impression though, upsetting a lot more expensive cars!
Thanks.
