Hi - Soon to be Clio IV owner

Hi everyone.

Last weekend we placed an order for my wife's new car and our first ever Renault. A Clio IV Dynamique S Medianav. She opted to go for white, with the dark tinted windows, blue interior and exterior colour pack, with the black interior and dashboard.

Personally I'd have chosen either the red or black colour packs with white, but it's her car!

I have had a hunt around on here and not seen much talk of the the new Clio, anyone got one yet or also waiting for one?

We're expecting delivery around 12th April, so can't come soon enough seeing as I accidentally sold her last car in November last year! It has been rather awkward managing with just the one car so long!

Hoping this forum is open to those who don't own RS versions. Would be interested if there is anyone out there with a Clio IV yet to see how they are getting on with it.

Thanks

Welcome to the club and yes it is open to non sport clios and even non clio owners for that matter.

get some pics up when you get it, not seen one in white yet.

Thanks for the welcome.

Will of course provide pictures when it arrives. We haven't seen a white one in the flesh yet, so fingers crossed!

My wife had mentioned it was coming up time to replace her car (she had a Fiat Panda 100hp) and I mentioned this to a colleague who said he was looking to buy one and needed it urgently, I foolishly, half joking, said for the right price he could have hers. He gave me the right price and it went that night!

Since then we've driven almost every single similar sized car on the market. Firstly we settled on the Nissan Juke, but when we went to order, the practicalities of living with it struck (we have a 4 year old and a 7 week old). We then decided on the new shape Fiesta and the day before we went to order it my wife said "actually the new Clio looks nice, why don't we wait".

We were at the local Renault dealers the day after they received their demonstrator, and finally placed the order last weekend. Would have like to have added the R-Link, but apparently you won't get delivery of a car with R-Link before mid-late May.

She only does 6,000 a year so we've opted for the 0.9 3 cylinder petrol. It is a great little engine and I'd say it was quieter and more refined than Ford's EcoBoost. It needs a bit of working to keep moving but makes a nice noise when you get up the rev range and fuel economy on the test drives appeared pretty good.

On the day we signed all the paperwork, there was a chap in collecting a mk3 White Clio RS, it looked stunning, if I was ever in the market for a trackday car, it would be top of the list!
