HID lights legal in clios?

I'll go back to my box when you find the experience to answer a Clio related question helpfully without trying to steamroll it. I can tell you that my eyesight is 20/20 but I would like more light when driving at speeds through Yorkshire country roads. Sorry you find it such a bore, but others might also want an answer, and your sort of answers help no-one.

Anyway, don't want to get into a flame-war. Will research more and get back...

I like this guy.

We need more of him. And less of the dossers.

Snore...

Its NOT that big a deal mate really..

Very helpful, i've seen it happen with stuff left exposed to welding for long periods of time and its the same principle so I can't see why it isn't a problem otherwise why are there aftermarket headlights (not just clio ones) that specifically say no the use the with hid bulbs despite having projectors?

Although whatever, no bother of mine.

Believe me, they are a million times better than the crap you can buy from halfrauds.

MatBrown drove mine when he did some work on it and he commented on them without being prompted iirc.

Where are you? If you're nearby you're welcome to come and have a look :)

I'm glad your friend liked them, but I bought the Philips UltraBright (sposed to be one of the best) and couldn't tell much difference at all after fitting them. There's no way in the world I can drive as fast as I want to at night, and it comes down to the bulbs I'm afraid.
How much were they? The PIAAs I mentioned above are at least £45 for the pair, and some of the brighter ones they do that aren't E-marked are up to about £80 a pair. And I think that it's definitely the case that you get what you pay for with PIAA.
