Why would you even think about residule values on something as cheap/high mileage.

It is what it is. Its so far over the hill of depreciation that hill is now a dot.

Run it into the ground.

So you don't think it will drop in price?

Don't worry about the mileage.100k is nothing. If the general condition and service history is all good, go for it. My 1.2 is on 145k and still runs well, no problems, just wear an tear. Keep up the maintenance and will be good for many more miles.

I also think it depends of if you are going to be going big miles in it? Our Clio has high miles bit will only do about 3k pa so over the next few years the mileage should normalise. If we were doing 20k or so then I'd have swerved one with high mileage.

Going by those pictures, I wouldn't say it has 106k on the clock unless told otherwise.. So I guess with a good history and decently maintained exterior/interior = Mileage not a factor.

pay out £70 odd quid for an RAC/AA inspection and iff all checks out you know your good to go.i'd give it a service just for good measure and maybe change the oil a bit more often. if you look after it and keep a comprehensive log of reciepts then resale shouldnt be a problem.

My concern would be that it was a driving school car.... The worst cars to buy ever.

id disagree with that, ours are always sound. my first car was a 140,000 mile 1.2 16v dynamique ex driving school car, full service history had never had anything other than brakes and tyres, never needed a single bit of warranty work or anything, and recently our Twingos are doing 100k in 2 years with not a single bit of hastle either

Mine has 127,000 miles on it now and still drives like new. If its serviced regularly high miles isn't an issue any more. Engines are built to much better tolerances now than they were many years ago and will easily take over 100,000 miles without problems.

Cheers !
I figure that it can't go much lower in value as to what I paid for it if I'm doing low mileage every year. I'm thinking about a remap thou I hear they respond well with the turbo giving an extra 20-25hp

if its the same as the twingo your limited to 125-130bhp by the injectors, stick 172/182 injectors in it and you will get 135bhp+ stick a better intercooler and exhaust on it and you will approach the turbo and fuel pumps limite of 150odd bhp
