High Rpm after cam belt change

Car  Renault Clio 172
Hey all just got a problem with my 2001 Clio 172, I just had the Cambelt changed but since i got the car back the idle rpm has gone up to about 2-2500rpm, this is also obviously causing problems when coming to junctions and changing down gear, was just wondering if this was common or should i be taking it back to the garage?
The idling has always been inconsistent but this is worse than its ever been.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers guys

Sticky throttle or throttle cable.

Just a coincidence.

If idling high all the time then they didn't replace the top inlet correctly, although sure that doesn't come off for cambelt.

As above, most likely causes are a stuck/sticking/fucked throttle or an induction track leak.

I also like to pull the plugs out but that's to make life easier manually advancing the crank plus also to make sure they're all present and correct... if not I give Chinese burns and inflict Justin Biebers album on you (turned all the way up to 11).
