Bit of a random question to ask, but whats the highest speed that you have ever gone? on both 1. a public road....and 2. a track/private road

I have to be honest as much as i think this thread to be ridicolous...

Never over 98mph and i can say that honestly (my car has never/will never be tracked)

Since being caught 2 years ago doing 101mph in my civic and getting caught (which carries upto a 3 month ban, 6 points and a 100% fine of your take home pay) only to then get a letter from te procurator fiscal days before the court date that they werent satisfied with the cameras calibiration i decided that not doing 100mph anywhere was a remotley good idea even if i did get away with it...

Had my phase 1 at 135mph on the Satnav with an indicated 140mph on the speedo on the Autobahn.
Trackday speed has not breached this though I was at an indicated 130mph a few times on the Nurburgring.

I've been passenger at 175mph in an e39 M5.

Hmmmm 198?! I hope you were not using the speedo as confirmation of this.

70 mph on the road for me, officer.

Not sure about the track. Whatever the limited top speed of a Formula Ford was/is. (Prob about 55)

Wont do 198mph im afraid,best mate has one and its limited to 186mph iirc.Pulling 198mph whilst being 2 up would take some doing on a derestricted busa.

I was hard for hours.

I used to own a GT4 and a young lad at work :clown: boasted that he used to own one and he did 160 in his. So I tried it in mine:clown: and blew the bloody thing up at 155, the book top speed is 152. This then cost me over £3000 to sort out hence I had to sell it
