What are the noticeable differences as im booking my 16v in for one in 2 weeks??

Ive had my Williams chipped and at first I didnt notice any difference but once I tested it on my favorite roads I noticed an extra pull through the rev range. !05-!10 on a road where It used to do !00 plus the raised rev limit is very usefull, very good VFM Id say.Plus do a search on Hillpower chip there have been loads of threads.

Main thing i wanted to know is what the extended rev limiter goes to and how low down the rev range it kicks in now as i hate waiting for 4.5-5k before the power kicks in!!

Rev limit is raised to 7600-7800.

cant think that a chip is gonna bring that top end punch any lower!

more to do with the cam i would think

there may be slight gains throughout the rev range tho(possibly)

I take it the cams are different in a willy then as the power kicks in earlier on them dont it?

Im guessing no-one has one as they aint replying!! Maybe i should of put 0-60 times in the title and that would of got some responces, thats all people on hear wanna talk about and what they have beaten!! When someone needs help or comments about products no-one can be arsed!! Grrrrr!! Its not as if its a hard question either!!

i had one fitted, TBH you dont really notice a MASSIVE difference, i had a filter, exhaust de-cat combo though. compared to my mates standard 16v at the time mine was quicker, by a fair bit. The chip will NOT bring the power band in any earlier

yeah i have a magnex system with de-cat, not sure whether to get a I/k or panel filter yet but the next stage will be a chip i think!

So will cams bring the power in any earlier? If so i may go for these instead!!

But youd need a chip or pbv with a cam anyway to sort the fueling with the increased breathing from the cam.

My BB chip seems to bring the power in around 3.5 - 4 k.

speak 2 ben R about head work

i dont think there is any point in going for a cam and no head work you wont get all the benerfits

iv had one, didnt notice much, and iv got cams etc as well! now running standard ecu and its running spot on! only difference is rev limitor. unichip when i can afford it!

Headwork sounds a bit pricey to me at the moment!

Was just thinking bout a chip as i have £250 notes burning a hole in my sky rocket and its telling me to buy bits for the engine!!

Am getting cam belt done in 2 weeks hopefully at hillpower!! So wanna get it all done at hill power at the same time!!

Not sure whether to spend it now or try and save it for something else when i get more cash! Trouble is me n the missus are about to buy our first house so if i dont spend it now on the car it will be wasted on pots & pans, washing machines, cutlery etc

I put my old escort on e-bay 3 hours ago for 3 days, started it at 0.01p with a £350 buy it now and and its already got 11 bids upto £301.00 was only expecting to get £300 when it finishes on friday!!

Gonna buysome other bits and bobs from BBPT when it gets its new cambelt and tensioners, Low temp switch, low temp thermostat, Dizzy Cap/Rotar Arm, fuel filter, heater matrix, dog bone, spark plugs, oil filter, oil just a general good going over!
