More than likely a write off but if you can buy back the car from your insurance company you could well be quids in. A dent guy should be able to make it look better than it is. Or pikey filler/repair it and just continue to use it.

price of parts+ labour rates would add up to probably more than the cars actually worth, nvm half of it lol

If you go though insurance, when they do write it off, just buy it back !!! It's like 5% of the paying out amount!!!

Yes when I wrote off my pug took me weeks too get the money cause what they were offering me was ridiculous what to do is look for similar cars of age n millage and condition up for sale and send them too your insurance company detailing how much your cars worth cause they won't want too pay out I even got a lawer friend too write a strongly worded letter and got £1500 more than they were offering me for second offer generally refuse the first offer consider the second and push for the third being higher or failing that you could break it and make a mint

ouhh okay thanks for the advice! i dont think il get much for it though 02 plate, 60k miles- had a look on auto trader and theyre cheap as chips really interior is absoloutly immaculate for a 10 year old car...but my guess is that doesnt count for anything but as for breaking it, i wouldnt know where to start lol!

They'll appraise it quick, lowball offer you with a buy back and Bob's your uncle. Buy Backs are always worth it.

...btw I dont know if anyone else has had the same experience...but do people that witness a incident like this not pull over to give a helping hand anymore? wether its to say they'll be a witness for police if they get called or whatever? .... bare in mind this was in choca-block traffic and a lorry had just smashed into my car (both stopped and got out briefly to discuss a safe place to pull in) ... everyone just drove around us..no-one pulled in or anything :S
