Some 2118's

I have some pms engine mounts on order so just waiting for them to get made at the moment, I also bought a x-low Jon foz subframe for my drivers seat as being 6ft1 and having a slider fitted my helmet was about 5mm off the roof , awesome product very impressed with it, I can now fit my fist in the gap

Took a massive hit the other week and bought this

That's a k tec S/c bracket btw, with running the sm inlet my charger brackets would just not fit, I could have made my own but for the time and effort involved to make it, k tec are 10 minutes down the road, £300 please

That's nooot to pricey for that from ktec weirdly... thought that would be worse

So managed to get some rubber on to some metal

And then put them on

Ph1 on 2118s - not convinced just yet, but will give it time

But better than the pro race 2 imo so if anybody wants a set that need refurbed in 16s cheap drop me a pm

Thanks guys, no real photos but will get some when I get back to work

As for updates, I'm now at the stage of making a support bracket that fits around the sm inlet

As you can see there is no space to run the stabilizer bar that bolts to the block so a little bit of work is needed to get around this

What bracket style did you use? I've never used the standard alternator setup I'm sure? Only ever cup which doesn't use that bar? Or I'm remembering very wrong!

Your right Danny . The cup setup doesn't use that bar .

Why not just use the cup setup to get around this issue the SM inlet poses.
Ahh : Just read : Charger bracket [emoji1303]. Now I see.

engine mounts are in, so much space

so then needed to move the battery to the boot/under seat, i am going for boot as will be fitting a large battery, done it correctly with a through bulk head connector, looks fairly smart

finally got round to sorting a bracket to replace the support bar, its not great looking but its very robust and should stop any movement side to side

cars looking a little bit neglected at the moment but bodywork and wax are wayyyy down the list

Then switched to getting the charger sorted

EF41910C-3DCA-4B90-BE16-4D5675F54E97_zpsnkgc9wfe.jpg

Mounted up all fine, then turned my attention to addressing the imo 3 - 4 major failing points of the s/c on clios

1. Overspeeding
2. Overheating
3.Alignment / elevation of oil circuit
4. Fragile brackets

1 and 4 are sorted with the bigger pulley and new stainless steel brackets

So number 2 and 3 I have tried to follow Rotrex advice
"To prevent oil leaks it is of utmost importance that the oil cooler, oil filter and the oil canister with its cap are placed below or level with the supercharger shaft"

I have positioned it all like this
8CA5EBB5-7837-4941-B3CE-8901A2E79AF2_zps0i4gg4ov.jpg

So not to bad for alignment imo bar the oil cooler but that can't be helped, placing in this position will massively aid cooling though
8D98E944-5614-4469-945A-7DDF3570D7E8_zpsvwlsh5ky.jpg

s/c oil cooler on left in large volumes of airflow
And the view of the oil reservoir through my brake duct
79D605E3-64ED-4797-B57B-EDA053E21EC1_zpswpcjmx3i.jpg

So also in plenty of airflow, I will also be fitting a temp sensor and gauge inline to monitor temps , in this location I will also be able to easily check fluids

So just to plumb it all in tomorrow

So after a trial fit of my charger intake, I found it was still too small a space for the filter location I wanted, loads of searching around and I came up with this

16270E31-D483-4361-B34C-B86B1A06D129_zpsvk5quyjt.jpg

Much shorter and fits my spal fan very well, it's from a 1.5 dci Clio
Radiator was £26 delivered so absolute bargain and fan was "free" from work

C8C3367D-A495-44DE-A7FE-B36DD492C8BA_zpsom0eq2vy.jpg

This allows the filter to sit in very nicely, just in front of the radiator, rather than behind it

6D9CD43B-1CAC-41EF-86B5-B454B644AAA6_zpsfziycfaz.jpg

So should get a whole lot of cold stuff right there
Also looks rather rugged from the front

87D04C7B-CFB6-421D-8425-B3E338A72E8C_zpsaznvehul.jpg

Now just to plumb it all together and some serious wiring to do
