Homemade clay lube

Im halfway through claying my alloys and Ive just run out of the spray you get in the megs smooth surface kit. What can I use instead? Does fairy liquid in water or something like that work? Help!!!

Car shampoo and water in a spray bottle is fine. Would not use fairy liquid.

2 or 3 capfuls of car shampoo to 500ml of water in a spray bottle will be fine.

don't use ti too much though or it'll break down your clay (thats what i found anyway)

Seems to depend on the clay.

Yeah, i use Car shampoo and water mix in a spray bottle. Works ok, Want to get some clay lube.

The only time my clay started to melt was when it made contact with WD40 that was on my wheels before hand
