homeplug/ethernet over power

ive talked about these before but i really need to get some now.

i need 200mbps ones but unsure of what ones to go for (brand wise) dont want to spend a huge amount really.

noticed there was a lot of solwise and comtrend ones on ebay


but would i be better off with netgear linksys etc etc

I've got the Comtrend 200mb pass through ones, vital if you don't want to lose a plug socket. Work straight out the box with no messing, picked them up BNIB from eBay for about £30 IIRC; but they do sometimes appear on the BT site for about the same price delivered.

No experience on the others you've mentioned, as everyone I know has the Comtrend ones, but I'd guess they are all pretty much the same. I'd recommend them though.

just got some of these... xbox, just worked... xp machine, just worked... virtual machines.. just work... windows 7... not playing!

I have the 200mbps comtrend ones as they're pretty cheap off the bay..

Loads better than wireless!

just set all 3 of mine up had initial issues with th eone that wasnt in the set but its now working anyone got the comtrend firmware so i can reflash the bt ones i have

having issues with mine tried streaming 1080p last night (not full bitrate) and it was juddery as f**k the devices say they are connected at about 130Mbps but judging by what i got to see id say it was more line 15Mbps
