Horn replacement

I wanna increase my road prescence, the renault honk doesnt really convey how much i want people to move out of the way when i need to use it, whats a good loud deep horn i can fit to my car.... i take it that it would be illegal to get one from a fire engine or other hgv, is there a dB limit for road cars?

I know what you mean, its an embarassment. I've been contemplating an airhorn, because i have done louder farts than my horn.

I don't think it is illegal to put a HGV horn on your car because a HGV and your car are still road users so why should it be any different. I may be wrong but thats what I think!!

Any aftermarket horn will work just plug in you've got a supply and earht wires.

Get the standard horn fitted to a R5 Turbo, its a snail shaped airhorn BLOODY loud :approve:

I don't understand the hornproblem. My 182 horn has a very good and adult sound. Much louder than other French cars. It really sounds like a good quality VW horn.
On one of my other cars I replaced the horn with a French ambulance/police horn from inpro. That's a very nice sound. Tita tita tita

replacement horns with music or louder horns are not legal in every country.
In Belgium a truck has a very loud horn and a carhorn. It's not aloud to use the loud one in city or villages

whats involved in fitting a dual horn like that ^^

are the wires already there, so just disconnect and reconnect? surely you have to split the wires into 2 somewhere?

They just work in parallel

Make sure you change the rating of the fuse or first time you use it .. phutt !
