Horrible cold running until warm

Howdy!

Had an issue with my 172 since I've had it with it being horrible and jumpy when cold, it feels incredibly hesistant, and the throttle feels like its all over the place. Say if I pull out of my drive and keep my foot pressed not to far down, the car seems to accelerate then de-accelerate.

This seems to go when its warm and it runs perfectly. Do you think it may be something to do with the lamba sensor?

i have same problem, tech at work says theres been a software update, also temp sensors can be down to the cause. I dont think its the lambda as ive replaced mine a while back

i havnt done mine yet tho need to really as it pisses me off its mega flat until u go over 3200k or until warm

CTS or a faulty H02 could indeed cause this... needs Live data access to say for sure.

Still having same problem, replaced upstream o2 sensor as was coming up with fault in system, however still doing it.

Completely goes once warms up and it runs perfectly. What's a CTS out of interest?

That was replaced with the thermostat a few months back.

mine is very lumpy on some days but as you say when warmed up its completely different , its very hit and miss though because some days it will be fine in the morning after standing all night and then be very lumpy when i come to leave work - 8 hours later

it doesn't bother me because i thought they all did it !

Ah well if they all do it I suppose it shouldn't bother me! It's wouldn't say lumpy, more juddery, seems like the throttle is all over the place, very difficult to explain!

I have a 09 plate cup 200 and it sounds like i have the same prob, very unpredictable. Obviously Renault didnt think it was a major problem since making the 172

mines done this. i thought it was down to me having a de-cat and the lamda's were playing up.

got an rs tuner and downloaded a map for it and it sorted it.
