Horrid noise

Any advice would be ouch appreciated.

The guy I bought it off said he did it last year with the correct Renault tools and oe parts.
I got it from a guy off of here seemed genuine guy to me.

If its not the dephaser it might be the water pump? When I had a full belt service at Diamond motors about 6 years ago my water pump was knackered and rattling its tits off. The cheeky f*****s at Renault who'd previously done the belts etc..... had used a none genuine pump. It had only done 28k miles

Doesn't sound like the usual dephaser rattle these get. It's more of a soft diesel sound not a gargling tappy sound like you have. Yours sounds more metallic

To be honest that just sounds like something in the engine bay is loose.. could well be an easy fix tho finding it may be fun

Sounds like a something is loose or a pulley seizing. Hard to hear where it’s coming from in the video, but I’d guess water pump, power steering pump or tensioner.
