hot V6 a b*tch to start!!

My phase 1 v6 takes ages to start when it's been sitting after a run. I have to turn it over for 10 or more seconds, and then when it does start it runs badly for a few minutes.
Any ideas on the problem?

Yup, we had alot of ours in HK (very hot climate) suffer with vapourisation in the fuel lines, and since they are not return, all the vapour needs to be bled out.

It's a very common problem - apparently vapour lock & they all suffer with it.

Any Mk2 drivers had the problem? I've heard about it loads on Mk1s, but never suffered on mine.

Pumping the gas does help a little. Sounds like something I'll just have to live with I suppose.

wrap the fuel lines in insulating tape.....or tin foil.
