How can i make my suspension harder, and is a spare wheel needed for an mot?

  AB182, Audi A5 3.0
Hello all, got a few questions for everyone who can help;

1. i changed the rear beam of my clio a little while back to a clio 1.8rsi beam (so i could have discs on the back), but sinse then my car has been rocking like a boat on stormy waters... So my plan of action is to lower the back end a bit (not much, say 20mm) and change the dampers for stiffer ones. Im also thinking about lowering the from down 65mm and possibly changing those dampers/absorbers aswell for stiffer ones. Can anyone sugest a good stiff set for the back and front that don't cost an arm and a leg (im a student!)?

2. i took the spare wheel off my car to save weight on the back as i have a big sub woofer, and with a 1.2 engine the weight was getting too much. Will i have to put it back on for a MOT?

thanks in advanced to anyone that can help :)

Did you use your old dampers or the set which came with the rear disks?

I cannot recomend any good set of dampers you need to spend a fortune on coilovers etc real to get anyhting I'd be happy with better than stock.

The RSi form memory has a thicker ARB at the back so this might not be helping since you have no ARB at the front.
