The cup was shed all the extras to save weight, yet performance figures remain the same?

Does it actually have any extras at all or is it a seat,steering wheel and gearstick jobbie, also does it have an LSD because i read an advert on autotrader claiming it did. lol.

So i take it from what your saying i can conclude that the entire 172/82 range are pretty similar in performance except the cup and trophy but theres an army of young, uneducated individuals on here that firmly believe their car is the creation of god himself and nothing can defeat it in the clash of the titans at their local set of traffic lights?

172 owners - rich softies that are jealous that their car is slower than the Cup and try to make out they needed aircon in order to justify their lack of speed and handling.

Cup owners - poor, hard ba$tards who live life on the edge and take it the limit every day.

But really, very little difference in performance in road driving. However, The Cup is a track hero and that's where you would see an advantage in the weight saving etc.

Thats very true but the 172 cup is only around 10-15kg's lighter than a ph1 172.

too right mate im broke as F**K lol ^ , iv owned the cup and a ph1 1 and just thought the cup feels better although i do like the luxuries but saying that i dont miss them now who needs aircon when you've got elecy windows :rasp:
