How do I get the gear knob off?

  A Beautiful R32
New one is in the post (hate the bulky standard 182 one)... so how do I get it off? Do I have to destroy it like Fred said? Or can I just wrench it off??

How is it attached? Glued? 'Wrenched' it off in my last motor...

Got a Richbrook lift reverse on the way :)

I would I ideally like to avoid a hacksaw if I can... lol

Can I not just twist/pull it off? It can surely only be glued on??

Fred?

I got my one off.

I was afraid to damage the gear box, and went to the dealer. In garages they didn't do it, said Renault should take their hands on it.

Paid Renault £15 and they removed it.

But it isn't anything special as I seen.

The knob is simply glued. you would have to squash it, twist, and pull up...

Theres quite few topics about it. Hairdryer to melt glue a bit, unless your strong enough, just use swan neck pliers straight off.....
