How do i lower the idle revs?

  H&R + Pole Position'd Cup
I've just fitted an enlarged/ ported throttle body and now the car is idleing too high at 1600-1700 revs and is moving up and down fairly irraticly.

How do I adjust the idle revs?

Also, I've just fitted angelworks matched inlets and worrying I have 1 large gold bolt left and coulnt seem to find anywhere for it. I'll post a pic in a bit...

Cheers

You probably have a vacuum leak somewhere. That's the most common cause.

Have you re-connected your breather?

Did you torque down all the bolts? Did you use a new gasket when you re-fitted the plenum?

Yes yes and yes to all those. Just this 1 large gold bolt that had no home to go to. Just plugged in rsstuner and got the following faults...

tps sensor
throttle position track 1
throttle position track 2
brake information fault
electronic throttle control limits acquired.

Could anyone who is familiar with all this data help shed some light?

I'll try fitting the standard throttle body tomorrow and see if it still does the same(guessing it wont).

Sounds like your sucking in air and its in connection with this bolt you have

Try find out where it goes first before messing with maps and changing things over.

Is it long and thin roughly 4'' bolt and has a threaded end? Sounds like a Fuel rail protector bolt.

The bolt that goes to the side of the engine on the inlet?, the one above the pulleys?

Just a random guess because the plenum (sp) uses 10mm bolts, about a inch long, front inlet bolts are what? 13mm abouts stumpy headed things, 4 TB ones use torx so its not that and that being 2.5'' is a pretty long bolt and the one above the pulleys is.

Worth a look maybe

That looks like a 13mm that holds on the lower manifold.

Does the stock TB work fine?
If so then its your new 'ported' one. If they did a poor job then they could have damaged the clearance between the throttle plate and the bore, and no matter if the throttle closed fully, it'll still pass more air, thus you'll have the higher idle syndrome.
