how do i start a website?

i want to start a website but dont know where to start, i have a name can anyone help?

just a personal one for the minute me and my mate have built a few cars during the last 8 years or so so we want to get them on the net with the intention of eventually providing a service.thanks

well to start of with u can start making the site in html using something like dreamweaver then find a host that you would like to go with, eventually you will want to convert it to something like php or asp.net so it is dynamic like cliosport is run on .

yer dreamweaver is good u can start from simple things to really advanced php integration its all good with dreamweaver and also its drag and drop if u dont want to write any code lol

if you want to get into web design then the best way to start is to do it properly and learn yourself about how to build webapges using HTML and CSS! and do not use tables for layout! its a bad habbit to get stuck with! Dreamweaver is ok, but its not great when you use its design tools at all! I use it but only for managing sites, and previewing work.

Well CS website site is crap, as in it doesnt work 50% of the time. whether this has anything to do with what you are talking about, I dont know, probably not.

nah probably not just there host im gessing there porblems is that it says that the page is laoded but u just get a white screen
