How do you check the gearbox oil level -172

Just got the 172 back

Been told to keep an eye on the gearbox oil level but i dont have a manual and do not know how to :evil:

ON t front of the box theres a plastic plug that unscrews. Unscrew it, if fluid dribbles out, it's fine. If it doesnt, squirt some in until it does.
