how do you fit a caf trumpet?

as above really. do i just need to cut a circle out of the plastic grille at the bottom of the bumper? will the trumpet not just drop out of this?

i couldn't see any other way of doing this?

remove a fog light? or yes cut a hole and cable tie it in place.

I put mine in my lower grill and put the feed up through the arch

this is what i did.

but imo i should have put it behind the grill. the airflow is just as good and then you dont have to cut the grill. (unless you want the trumpet look)

It's easy to cut the hole mate, just remember it's better to make it smaller and cut more off than make it to big because you cant put it back on.

Did anyone else have any problems running the ducting?

My radiator bracket got in the way a little.

Please note it's not staying this chavtastic colour, painting it satin black this weekend.

Where can I get one of those to replace the standard intake pipe from?

Mainly as I'm thinking of buying an ITG Maxogen and want a larger air duct.

cheers. i have got 80mm ducting and i don't see how i am going to run ut un-restricted to the front grille

Ive got the Maxogen as well. My duct runs from the front grill and up to behind the head light stopping just before the open end of the filter just to get more cold air to the general area.

Im going to have a better look at the week end to see if I can unrestrict the route a little but mine is slightly ovalled where it passes the radiator mounting point.

Do you find the maxogen has improved performance much?

I've currently got an ITG and can't decide whether to swap it for a maxogen or just get a new exhaust and remap first.

or do what peejous has done above but dont cut through the grill, just leaving it sat behind the lower grille and not as a feature.
